HOT-AIR UNITS
BASIC TECHNICAL DATA OF THE UNIT
1. FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
The high capacity heat source operates on the principle of forced air circulation provided by the fan across a set of electric heating elements. The electric hot-air units are provided with an electronic control circuit which keeps the sucked air at the temperature within the range of 0 – 40° C. The principle of function of the regulator consists in continuous control of the power input of the heating elements as a function of the required and actual temperature. The temperature sensor is located inside the unit where it measures the sucked air temperature. The power input of the unit can be controlled from zero to maximum and so considerable savings in energy can be reached. Initially, the hot-air units are operated at the maximum performance of the heating elements and after the required temperature is reached, they only keep the required temperature in the area with a considerably lower performance and power consumption. 2.
